Product Type Antibody
Description
Monoclonal antibody S5/1 recognizes the human receptor of C5a (CD88). The C5a receptor is a 45kDa transmembrane GTP-binding protein-coupled receptor with high affinity to human anaphylactoxin C5a. After C5a is bound, G The beginning of protein-dependent cellular responses, such as increased intracellular Ca2+, fusion with cell membrane particles, release of enzymes and explosion of oxidation, suggesting that C5aR is an important mediator of inflammation. C5a receptors are expressed in many cell types, including -neutral Granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, astrocytes and microglia.
Interestingly, C5a receptor signal transduction has been associated with several inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.
The clone S5/1 was generated against a synthetic peptide (Met1-Asn31) containing the N-terminal domain of C5aR. This antibody has been shown to inhibit the binding of C5a to its receptor.
Disease Infectious diseases, Nephrology
Size 100 µg
Immunogen Synthetic peptide comprising the N-terminal domain of the C5aR (Met1-Asn31)
Species Human
Cross reactivity Rabbit
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone Number S5/1
Buffer PBS, containing 0.1% bovine serum albumin.
Application Flow cytometry, Frozen sections, Functional studies, Paraffin sections, Western blot
Application Notes For immunohistology, the flow cytometer and Western blot diluent that will be used depend on the detection system used. It is recommended that users test reagents and determine their own optimal dilution. The typical initial working dilution is 1:10. In order to inhibit the binding of C5a to its receptor, it must be diluted according to the amount of C5a to be inhibited.
Storage Instructions Product should be stored at 4°C. Under recommended storage conditions, product is stable for at least one year.
Alternative Names C5aR; CD88; C5a anaphylatoxin chemotactic receptor; C5a anaphylatoxin receptor; C5a ligand; C5a-R; complement component 5a receptor 1
