Description
Senescent cells exhibit phenotypes such as increased cell size, unique flat morphology, changes in gene expression and senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) activity, which represents a tumor suppressor mechanism, so cell senescence has increased More and more new therapies are being developed.
The senescence detection kit is a quick, convenient and easy-to-use kit that can measure the activity of SA-B-Gal in cell culture by X-gal hydrolysis, which can lead to the unique blue accumulation in senescent cells.
Features Fast, convenient and easy process: only 28 minutes and minimal processing steps to get results.
Applications Histochemically detect SA-beta-Galactosidase activity in cultured cell and tissue sections.
Size 100 Assays
Sample Cell culture (adherent and non adherent)
Components
150 mg X-Gal (lyophilized)
60 mL PBS (10x)
15 mL Fixative Solution (10x)
15 mL Staining Solution (10x)
1 x 1,5 mL Staining Solution Supplement A (100x)
1 x 1,5 mL Staining Solution Supplement B (100x)
Handling Advice
•The fixative contains formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde, which are toxic and corrosive solutions. Use personal protective clothing when handling the solution and use it in a fume hood.
•Dye supplements (A and B) contain K4 [Fe(CN)6] 3H2O and K3 [Fe(CN)6], which are irritating to the human body and harmful to the environment. Please wear personal protective clothing (such as nitrile or latex gloves, lab coat and goggles) when handling the solution, and discard it in an appropriate manner.
•Dimethylformamide is toxic and harmful. Wear personal protective clothing when handling the solution. Use a fume hood. Always use polypropylene containers or glass to make and store X€gal. Do not use polystyrene.
