LDH Cytotoxicity Assay Kit Plus (CAT#: CB-P046-K) Datasheet

Description
The colorimetric LDH cytotoxicity assay kit is a simple and powerful method that can evaluate the cytotoxic effect on cells by measuring the activity of LDH in the cell culture supernatant. This assay measures cell death in the form of apoptosis and necrosis in which the response to cytotoxic reagents leads to apoptosis, resulting in the release of LDH into the cell space.
Features
•Non-radioactive determination (see chromium release determination).
•The whole process takes 20 minutes.
•Rugged and durable, suitable for HTS.
•Single reagent, "mixed culture measures" type of determination.
•For high-throughput analysis on 96-well plates, thousands of samples can be processed simultaneously every day.
Applications
For rapid quantitative determination of cytotoxicity based on lactate dehydrogenase released into the cell culture medium. Evaluate toxic compounds, toxins, detergents, environmental pollutants, and physical treatment of cell lysis.
