Cell Cytotoxicity Assay Kit (CAT#: CB-P042-K) Datasheet

Description
This cytotoxicity assay kit (luminescence) provides a quick method to measure intracellular ATP, cell viability and cytotoxicity. A single working reagent lyses the cells to release ATP. In the presence of luciferase, ATP immediately reacts with the substrate D-luciferin to produce light. Light intensity is a direct measure of the ATP concentration in a cell and the number of living cells. This non-radioactive, homogeneous cell-based assay can be conveniently performed in a microplate. This reagent is compatible with all media and liquid handling systems, and is suitable for high-throughput screening applications in 96-well and 384-well plates.
Features
•Safety. Non-radioactive assay (see 3H-thymidine incorporation assay).
•Sensitive and accurate. It can quantify as little as 50 cells.
•Similar and convenient. Type determination of "mixed cultivation measures". No washing and reagent transfer steps are involved.
•Rugged and suitable for HTS: Z'factors of 0.6 to 0.7 are usually observed in 96-well plates and 384-well plates. The HTS liquid handling system can be easily automated and can process thousands of samples per day.
Applications
For rapid bioassay based on bioluminescence luciferin/luciferase to detect cell viability, proliferation, cytotoxicity and high-throughput screening of anticancer agents.
