Anti-Human CD46 Monoclonal Antibody (clone M177) -10 mg (CAT#: CB-P430-K) Datasheet

Product Type
Antibody
Description
The monoclonal antibody M177 recognizes CD46, also known as membrane cofactor protein (MCP). CD46 is a 45-70 kDa protein with genetic and tissue-specific heterogeneity.-It is found in all cells except red blood cells and It is expressed in tissues. This function is achieved by inhibiting the function of coenzymes C3b and C4b. The serine protease I of plasma I allows this combination to degrade C3b and C4b and protect the host against auto-attack cells. It can also be used as The receptor for the measles virus.
The four isoforms of CD46 are dominant and are produced by alternative splicing of a single CD46 gene. CD46 cDNA encodes a signal sequence followed by four complement control protein domains (also called short consensus repeats (SCR)). The monoclonal antibody M177 reacts with the SCR2 domain.
