Senescence Detection Kit (CAT#: CB-P021-K) Datasheet

Description
Aging is considered to be the tumor suppressor mechanism and the root cause of aging. Senescence represents a state of stagnation in which cells remain viable, but are not stimulated to divide by serum or passage in culture. Senescent cells show increased cell size, β-galactosidase (SA-Beta-Gal) activity and senescence-related expression and changes in gene expression patterns. The senescence detection kit is used to histochemically detect the activity of SA-Beta-Gal in cultured cells and tissue sections, which is a known characteristic of senescent cells. SA-Beta-Gal is only found in senescent cells, but not found in senescent, quiescent or immortal cells.
Features
•The procedure is simple; it takes about 30 minutes
•Fast and convenient
•Specific histochemical markers are only found in senescent cells, but not found in senescent, resting or immortal cells.
Applications
The aging detection kit is used for histochemical detection of specific aging markers at different pH values in cultured cells and tissue sections.
