Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced CD2 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
CD2
Full Name
CD2 molecule
Background
CD2 is a surface antigen of the human T-lymphocyte lineage that is expressed on all peripheral blood T cells (summarized by Sewell et al., 1986 ). It is one of the earliest T-cell markers, being present on more than 95% of thymocytes; it is also found on some natural killer cells but not on B lymphocytes. Monoclonal antibodies directed against CD2 inhibit the formation of rosettes with sheep erythrocytes, indicating that CD2 is the erythrocyte receptor or is closely associated with it.
Alternative Names
CD2; CD2 molecule; T11; SRBC; LFA-2; T-cell surface antigen CD2; LFA-3 receptor; rosette receptor; erythrocyte receptor; lymphocyte-function antigen-2; T-cell surface antigen T11/Leu-5; CD2 antigen (p50), sheep red blood cell receptor; BTI-322, Lo-CD2-a

Cellular Localization
Plasma membrane
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with CD2 include Mastocytosis, Cutaneous and Mastocytosis.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Cell surface interactions at the vascular wall and PEDF Induced Signaling.
Function
CD2 interacts with lymphocyte function-related antigens CD58 (LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T cells and other cell types. CD2 is involved in the triggering of t cells, and the cytoplasmic domain is involved in signal transduction.
Post-translational modifications
1.Glycosylation at Asn89, Asn141, and Asn150 2.Modification sites at PhosphoSitePlus 3. Ubiquitination at Lys264 and Lys310
