Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced IL-5 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.

Full Name

Background
This gene encodes a cytokine that acts as a growth and differentiation factor for both B cells and eosinophils. The encoded cytokine plays a major role in the regulation of eosinophil formation, maturation, recruitment and survival. The increased production of this cytokine may be related to pathogenesis of eosinophil-dependent inflammatory diseases. This cytokine functions by binding to its receptor, which is a heterodimer, whose beta subunit is shared with the receptors for interleukine 3 (IL3) and colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2/GM-CSF). This gene is located on chromosome 5 within a cytokine gene cluster which includes interleukin 4 (IL4), interleukin 13 (IL13), and CSF2 . This gene, IL4, and IL13 may be regulated coordinately by long-range regulatory elements spread over 120 kilobases on chromosome 5q31

Description
Mepolizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically recognizes and blocks interleukin 5 (IL-5). It was used for the treatment of severe eosinophilic asthma and is used in combination with other drugs for asthma. Mepolizumab is now used to treat many other conditions, such as severe nasal polyps, adult eosinophilic granuloma with polyangiitis (EGPA).
Indication
Severe Eosinophilic Asthma
Severe nasal polyposis
Adult patients with eosinophilic granulomatosis
Synonyms
Mepolizumab

Mepolizumab is an immunoglobulin G1κ monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the IL-5 antigen. IL-5 is a transmembrane glycoprotein with many functions and is highly expressed in hematological malignancies, including multiple myeloma tumors. IL-5 can regulate receptor-mediated adhesion, signaling, and cyclase and hydrolase activity. Mepolizumab inhibits tumor cell growth and induces broad-spectrum apoptosis by binding to IL-5 in a variety of mechanisms: Fc-mediated cross-linking, complement-dependent cytotoxicity, antibody-dependent cytotoxicity, and immune-dependent cell phagocytosis Lead tumor cell lysis.
