Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
CACNA2D1
Full Name
calcium channel, voltage-dependent, alpha 2/delta subunit 1
Background
The preproprotein encoded by this gene is cleaved into multiple chains that comprise the alpha-2 and delta subunits of the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization. Mutations in this gene can cause cardiac deficiencies, including Brugada syndrome and short QT syndrome. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants, some of which may lack the delta subunit portion.
Alternative Names
CACNA2D1; calcium channel, voltage-dependent, alpha 2/delta subunit 1; CACNA2; CCHL2A; CACNL2A; LINC01112; lncRNA-N3; voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1; calcium channel, L type, alpha 2 polypeptide; voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1; dihydropyridine-sensitive L-type, calcium channel alpha-2/delta subunit

Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with CACNA2D1 include Familial Short Qt Syndrome and Short Qt Syndrome.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Succinylcholine Pathway, Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics and Integrin Pathway.
Function
The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel. Plays an important role in excitation-contraction coupling (By similarity).
Field of research
Neuroscience antibody; Signaling Transduction antibody
Post-translational modifications
Proteolytically processed into subunits alpha-2-1 and delta-1 that are disulfide-linked.

Monoclonal antibody (mAb)
Antibody Isotype
IgG3
Antibody Clone
BioBet-620ZP
Host
Mouse
Species Reactivity
Human
