Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced TDP-43 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
TARDBP
Full Name
TAR DNA binding protein
Background
HIV-1, the causative agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), contains an RNA genome that produces a chromosomally integrated DNA during the replicative cycle. Activation of HIV-1 gene expression by the transactivator Tat is dependent on an RNA regulatory element (TAR) located downstream of the transcription initiation site. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional repressor that binds to chromosomally integrated TAR DNA and represses HIV-1 transcription. In addition, this protein regulates alternate splicing of the CFTR gene. A similar pseudogene is present on chromosome 20.

Function
RNA binding protein is involved in the various steps of RNA biogenesis and processing. Through its two RNA recognition motifs RRM1 and RRM2, it preferentially binds to the gug-repeat sequence mainly located on the RNA molecule of long intron and mRNA 3'UTR. In turn, it regulates the splicing of many non-coding RNAs and protein-coding RNAs, including proteins involved in the survival of nerve cells and mRNAs encoding proteins related to neurodegenerative diseases. Maintain mitochondrial homeostasis by regulating the processing of mitochondrial transcripts. By recruiting CNOT7/CAF1 dead olefinase on the 3'UTR of mRNA, it causes dead olefination of the poly(A) tail and shortens the stability of mRNA. In response to oxidative damage, it is associated with stagnant ribosomes that are located in stress granules (SGs) and contribute to cell survival. Participate in the formation and regeneration of normal skeletal muscle, forming cytoplasmic muscle granules and binding mrna encoding muscle comeric protein. Stabilize CRY1 and CRY2 proteins in a fbxl3-dependent manner, and play a role in maintaining the cycle of the biological clock.
