Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced SEMA3A antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
SEMA3A
Full Name
sema domain, immunoglobulin domain (Ig), short basic domain, secreted, (semaphorin) 3A
Background
This gene is a member of the semaphorin family and encodes a protein with an Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain, a PSI domain and a Sema domain. This secreted protein can function as either a chemorepulsive agent, inhibiting axonal outgrowth, or as a chemoattractive agent, stimulating the growth of apical dendrites. In both cases, the protein is vital for normal neuronal pattern development. Increased expression of this protein is associated with schizophrenia and is seen in a variety of human tumor cell lines. Also, aberrant release of this protein is associated with the progression of Alzheimers disease.

Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with SEMA3A include Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism 16 With Or Without Anosmia and Kallmann Syndrome.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Semaphorin interactions and Guidance Cues and Growth Cone Motility.
Function
Participate in the development of the olfactory system and neural control during adolescence. Induce the breakdown and paralysis of nerve growth cones. It can be used as a ligand to guide specific growth cones through a motif inhibition mechanism. Binds to the complex neuroprotein 1/plexin 1.
Post-translational modifications
1.Glycosylation at Asn53, Asn125, and Asn590 2.Modification sites at PhosphoSitePlus
