Anti-Rat CD59 Glycoprotein Monoclonal Antibody (clone TH9) -0.5 mg (CAT#: CB-P304-AB) Datasheet

Product Type
Antibody
Description
The monoclonal antibody TH9 recognizes rat CD59. Rat CD59 was previously known as rat inhibitory protein (RIP), which is an effective inhibitor of the complement membrane attack complex (MAC). CD59 regulates the formation of lytic C5b-9 And function. CD59 is a small molecule (18-25 kDa), which is connected to the cell membrane through glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchoring. It contains 77 small molecules (18-25 kDa) that can bind to C8 and prevent C9 The unfolding and membrane insertion as well as the restriction of C9 polymerization to form a complex. The amino acid with an N-linked carbohydrate group at Asn-18 can be found in all species with similar structures and sizes. Things.
In rats, CD59 is expressed on vascular endothelium and circulating cells. In the central nervous system (CNS) of rats, CD59 is expressed on the Schwann sheath and ependymal cells of peripheral nerve fibers, but not on the glial cells and neurons of the CNS. Rat astrocytes express CD59 on their surface.
CD59 may be related to rheumatoid arthritis, motor nerve damage in Guillain-Barré syndrome, and other diseases involving defects in the inhibition of complement activation in one's own tissues. In addition, CD59 may play an important role in eliminating the effects of complement attack on kidney disease. Its existence and protective effects have been confirmed on human kidney cells.

Application Notes
For immunohistology, flow cytometry and Western blotting, dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. For functional studies, in vitro dilutions have to be optimized in user's experimental setting.
