Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Platelet Activating Factor antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
PAF
Full Name
Platelet Activating Factor
Background
PAF is a potent phospholipid activator and mediator of many leukocyte functions, including platelet aggregation and degranulation, inflammation, and anaphylaxis. It is also involved in changes to vascular permeability, the oxidative burst, chemotaxis of leukocytes, as well as augmentation of arachidonic acid metabolism in phagocytes.
Alternative Names
PAF; Platelet Activating Factor; PAF-acether; AGEPC; acetyl-glyceryl-ether-phosphorylcholine
Cellular Localization
Nucleus
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with PLA2G7 include Platelet-Activating Factor Acetylhydrolase Deficiency and Ige Responsiveness, Atopic.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Sweet Taste Signaling and Acyl chain remodelling of PE.
Function
Lipoprotein-related calcium-independent phospholipase A2 participates in the catabolism of phospholipids during inflammation and oxidative stress. At the lipid-water interface, the fatty acyl ester bond (phospholipase A2 activity) is hydrolyzed at the phospholipid Sn-2 position.Phospholipids targeting sn-2 short-chain fatty acid acyl are targeted.Phospholipids with long lipid chains can hydrolyze only if they carry oxidative functional groups.Congestion hydrolysis, lose the activated platelet activating factor - (1 - O - alkyl - 2 - acetyl - sn - glycero - 3 - phosphocholine), a powerful signaling role of proinflammatory lipid through various PTAFR innate immune cells.Hydrolytic oxidative truncated phospholipids with an aldehyde group at the omega location prevent their accumulation in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) particles and uncontrolled proinflammatory effects. As part of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles, phospholipids containing long chain fatty acid acylhydroperoxide at the SN-2 site can be hydrolyzed to prevent the potential accumulation of these lipids in the blood vessel wall.Catalyze membrane phospholipids to release F2-isoprostaglandin, a lipid biomarker of cellular oxidative damage.
Post-translational modifications
1.N-glycosylated. Macrophage-derived PLA2G7 carries sialylated complex-type N-glycans that hinder its binding to HDL particles 2.Modification sites at PhosphoSitePlus
