Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Osteoprotegerin binding protein antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
OPGbp
Full Name
Osteoprotegerin binding protein
Background
OPG binding protein refers to a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of mammalian OPG binding protein, or a fragment, analog, or derivative thereof, and having at least the activity of binding OPG. A novel polypeptide, osteoprotegerin binding protein, involved in osteoclast maturation has been identified based upon its affinity for osteoprotegerin. Receptors for osteoprotegerin binding proteins are also described. The receptors, and agonists and antagonists thereof, may be used to treat bone diseases.
Alternative Names
OPGbp; Osteoprotegerin binding protein; OPG binding protein; Osteoprotegerin bp
Cellular Localization
Extracellular region or secreted
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with TNFRSF11B include Paget Disease Of Bone 5, Juvenile-Onset and Bone Disease.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Monoamine Transport and TNF Superfamily - Human Ligand-Receptor Interactions and their Associated Functions.
Function
Acts as a decoy receptor for TNFSF11/RANKL, thereby neutralizing its function in osteoclast formation. Inhibit the activation of osteoclasts in vitro and promote osteoclast apoptosis. Bone homeostasis seems to depend on the local ratio between TNFSF11 and TNFRSF11B. It can also prevent arterial calcification. It may act as a decoy receptor for TNFSF10/TRAIL and protect cells from apoptosis. The TNFSF10/TRAIL combination blocks the inhibition of osteoclast formation.
Post-translational modifications
N-glycosylated. Contains sialic acid residues. The N-terminus is blocked.
