Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Orai1 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name Orai1
Full Name ORAI calcium release-activated calcium modulator 1
Background The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane calcium channel subunit that is activated by the calcium sensor STIM1 when calcium stores are depleted. This type of channel is the primary way for calcium influx into T-cells. Defects in this gene are a cause of immune dysfunction with T-cell inactivation due to calcium entry defect type 1 (IDTICED1). [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
Alternative Names ORAI1; ORAI calcium release-activated calcium modulator 1; IMD9; TAM2; ORAT1; CRACM1; TMEM142A; calcium release-activated calcium channel protein 1; protein orai-1; transmembrane protein 142A; calcium release-activated calcium modulator 1;
Gene ID 84876
Cellular Localization Plasma membrane
Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with ORAI1 include Immunodeficiency 9 and Myopathy, Tubular Aggregate, 2.
Related Pathways Its related pathways are Platelet homeostasis and Response to elevated platelet cytosolic Ca2+.
Function Ca (2 +) release-activated Ca (2 +) (firm) channel subunits mediate Ca (2 +) influx and depletion of intracellular calcium (2 +) stores and channel activated Ca (2 +) sensors, STIM1. CRAC channel is the main way for Ca(2+) to flow into t cells. It promotes the body's immune response to pathogens by activating the transcription factor NFAT.
Field of research Immune System antibody; Signaling Transduction antibody
Post-translational modifications N-glycosylated. Ubiquitinated. Cys-195 is oxidated, leading to inactivate channel activity.
