Function
Inhibit nf-kpa-b by complexing and trapping it in the cytoplasm. However, the non-phosphorylated form re-synthesized after cell stimulation can bind to nf-kpa-b, allowing it to be transported to the nucleus and protecting it from further inactivation of nfkbi. NKIRAS1 and NKIRAS2, which interact with the inhibitor kappa b, prevent its phosphorylation and make it more resistant to degradation, which explains the slower degradation.
