Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced MUC18 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.

Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with MCAM include Noonan Syndrome-Like Disorder With Or Without Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia and Melanoma.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Lineage-specific Markers and Adhesion.
Function
It plays a cohesive role in cell adhesion and intercellular connection of endothelial monolayer in vascular tissue. Its expression may enable melanoma cells to interact with the cellular components of the vascular system, thereby enhancing the genetic spread of hematological tumors. It may be the adhesion molecules active in neural crest cells during embryonic development. As a surface receptor, it triggers tyrosine phosphorylation of FYN and PTK2/FAK1, and a transient increase in intracellular calcium concentration.
Post-translational modifications
1.Glycosylation at Asn56, Asn418, Asn449, Asn467, Asn508, Asn518, Asn527, and Asn544 2.Modification sites at PhosphoSitePlus

Description
ABX-MA1 is a fully human anti-MUC18 antibody relates to angiogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis. ABX-MA1 treatment of melanoma cells in vitro significantly inhibited the promoter and collagenase activity of matrix metalloproteinase 2, resulting in decreased invasion through Matrigel-coated filters. ABX-MA1 directly disrupted the tube-like formation by HUVECs in an in vitro vessel formation assay. Collectively, these results point to usefulness of ABX-MA1 as a modality to treat melanoma either alone or in combination with conventional chemotherapy or other antitumor agents.
