Official Name
V-set domain-containing T-cell activation inhibitor 1
Full Name
V-set domain-containing T-cell activation inhibitor 1
Background
B7-H4, a member of the B7 family of immunoregulatory proteins, inhibits T cell proliferation and cytokine production through ligation of an unknown receptor expressed by activated T cells. Proteins in this family are present on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and interact with ligand bound to receptors on the surface of T cells.
Alternative Names
V-set domain-containing T-cell activation inhibitor 1; T-cell costimulatory molecule B7x; B7-H4; B7h.5; Protein B7S1
