Cooperation Seeking Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced lymphotoxin-alpha antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.

Official Name LTA

Full Name Lymphotoxin-alpha

Background Lymphotoxin-alpha (LT-α) or tumor necrosis factor-beta (TNF-β) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the LTA gene. Belonging to the hematopoietic cell line, LT-α exhibits anti-proliferative activity and causes the cellular destruction of tumor cell lines. As a cytotoxic protein, LT-α performs a variety of important roles in immune regulation depending on the form that it is secreted as. Unlike other members of the TNF superfamily, LT-α is only found as a soluble homotrimer, when found at the cell surface it is found only as a heterotrimer with LTβ.

Alternative Names LTA, LT, TNFB, TNFSF1, Lymphotoxin alpha, TNLG1E

Gene ID Human: 4049; Mouse: 16992

UniProt ID Human: P01374; Mouse: P09225

Cellular Localization Extracellular region or secreted; Plasma Membrane

Genecards LTA

Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with LTA include Psoriatic Arthritis and Leprosy 4. Among its related pathways are Apoptosis Modulation and Signaling and NF-KappaB Family Pathway.

Function Cytokines in the form of homotrimers bind to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1, TNFRSF1B/TNFBR and TNFRSF14/HVEM (PubMed: 9462508). The heterotrimeric form with LTB binds to TNFRSF3/LTBR. Lymphotoxins are produced by lymphocytes and are cytotoxic to a variety of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo.
