Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Lymphotoxin alpha antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name LTA
Full Name lymphotoxin alpha
Background The encoded protein, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4, myocardial infarction, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and psoriatic arthritis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene.
Alternative Names LTA; lymphotoxin alpha; LT; TNFB; TNFSF1; lymphotoxin-alpha; LT-alpha; TNF-beta; TNF superfamily, member 1; tumor necrosis factor beta; tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 1
Gene ID 4049
Cellular Localization Extracellular region or secreted
Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with LTA include Psoriatic Arthritis and Leprosy 4.
Related Pathways Its related pathways are Apoptosis Modulation and Signaling and NF-KappaB Family Pathway.
Function A trimeric cytokine that binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1, TNFRSF1B/TNFBR and TNFRSF14/HVEM. It binds to TNFRSF3/LTBR in the form of heterotrimer with LTB. Lymphotoxins are produced by lymphocytes and are cytotoxic to a variety of tumor cells in vivo and in vitro.
