Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced ITGA2 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
ITGA2
Full Name
Integrin Subunit Alpha 2
Background
This gene encodes the alpha subunit of a transmembrane receptor for collagens and related proteins. The encoded protein forms a heterodimer with a beta subunit and mediates the adhesion of platelets and other cell types to the extracellular matrix. Loss of the encoded protein is associated with bleeding disorder platelet-type 9. Antibodies against this protein are found in several immune disorders, including neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia. This gene is located adjacent to a related alpha subunit gene. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]

Related Pathways
1.Integrin alpha-2/beta-1 is a receptor for laminin, collagen, c-protoprotein, fibronectin and e-cadherin. It recognizes the proline hydroxylation sequence G-F-P-G-E-R in collagen. It is responsible for the adhesion of platelets and other cells to collagen, regulating the expression of collagen and collagenase genes, and the production and organization of newly synthesized extracellular matrix. 2.Microbial infection) Integrin ITGA2: ITGB1 acts as a receptor for human rotavirus a. 3.(Microbial infection) Integrin ITGA2: ITGB1 acts as a receptor for human echovirus 1 and 8.
