Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Integrin alpha 9 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Full Name
integrin, alpha 9
Background
This gene encodes an alpha integrin. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane glycoproteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain that mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion. The protein encoded by this gene, when bound to the beta 1 chain, forms an integrin that is a receptor for VCAM1, cytotactin and osteopontin. Expression of this gene has been found to be upregulated in small cell lung cancers.
Alternative Names
ITGA9; integrin, alpha 9; RLC; ITGA4L; ALPHA-RLC; integrin alpha-9; integrin alpha-RLC

Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with ITGA9 include Chylothorax, Congenital and Lymphedema-Distichiasis Syndrome.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Integrin Pathway and Degradation of the extracellular matrix.
Function
Integrin alpha-9/beta-1 (ITGA9:ITGB1) is a receptor for VCAM1, cytotactin and osteopontin. It recognizes the sequence A-E-I-D-G-I-E-L in cytotactin.
Post-translational modifications

Biologic Classification
Protein Based Therapies
Monoclonal antibody (mAb)
Description
This is an anti-α9 integrin antibody, exerts a therapeutic effect on cancer, for example proliferation and metastasis of a cancer cell, and an inflammatory disease, for example rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, hepatitis, bronchial asthma, fibrosis, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, granuloma, an inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease), an autoimmune disease and the like by inhibiting the α9 integrin function.
Antibody Indication
