Anti-Human MASP-1 Monoclonal Antibody (clone 4H2A9) -100 µg (CAT#: CB-P168-AB) Datasheet

Product Type
Antibody
Description
The monoclonal antibody 4H2A9 reacts with the CCP1 domain shared by MCP-1, MASP-3 and MAP-44. A total of 5 MASP proteins (MASP-1, MASP-2, MASP-3, MAp19 and MAp44) encoded by 2 genes were identified. The MASP-2 gene produces MASP2 and MAp19 through alternative splicing, while the MASP-1 gene encodes a primary transcript that can be spliced into three different mRNAs encoding MASP-1, MASP-3 and MAP44 with a molecular weight of 88 . , Respectively, 89kDa and 44kDa. At the protein level, MASP-1 and MASP-2 are responsible for complement activation through proteolysis of C2 and C4, while MASP-3 is believed to inhibit the production of C3 convertase. So far, the role of the truncated proteases MAp44 and Map19 is still unknown. The monoclonal antibody 4H2A9 is suitable for Western blot and immunoprecipitation experiments. In addition, the antibody can be used in immunoassays to detect MASP-1, MASP-3 and/or MAp44.
