Description
This antibody is the prototype antibody of the CD59 determinant, which is an 18-25 kDa PI-linked glycoprotein, which is widely expressed in most types of cells. Antigens are the main complement protection molecules of human cells. It is expressed on all white blood cells, red blood cells and most other cell types. The binding of this antibody inhibits the complement protective activity of CD59. CD59 is one of the complement regulatory membrane proteins missing in paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). The anti-CD59 reagent can be used for the differential diagnosis of type II PNH and type I PNH. Recently, the role of CD59 in LPS signal transduction has been reported in keratinocytes. The antibody reacts with a well-defined epitope (W40, R-53) on the CD59 molecule.

Application Notes
For flow cytometry and Western blotting, the diluent used depends on the detection system used. It is recommended that users test reagents and determine their own optimal dilution. The typical initial working dilution is 1:10. In order to neutralize biological activity, it must be diluted according to the amount of endotoxin to be inactivated.
