Cat#: CB-P374-AB
Target: C3/C3a
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Host: Mouse

Product Type Antibody

Description The monoclonal antibody 474 reacts with the epitope of C3a. The antibody reacts with intact C3 and C3a. The complement system is an important factor in innate immunity. The third complement component C3 is essential in the classical, alternative and lectin pathways. C3 The synthesis of C3 is tissue-specific and is regulated in response to a variety of stimulating factors; during the complement activation process, C3 is proteolytically cleaved, resulting in the release of the allergic peptide C3a; C3a is a small polypeptide acid composed of 74 amino groups (about 10 kDa), C3a itself has a very short lifespan, and is quickly broken down into more stable C3a-desArg (also called acylation stimulating protein, ASP) in the serum. C3a acts through a specific receptor (C3aR). The expression of C3aR- is in many It has been reported in cell types (including myeloid and non-myeloid cells). The expression of C3aR on hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells has been shown to promote the transport/homing of these cells to BM. C3aR on DC and T cells Participation has been shown to up-regulate the functions of these cells.
C3a is a mediator of the local inflammatory process. It induces smooth muscle contraction, increases vascular permeability, and causes histamine to be released from mast cells and basophils. C3a is involved in the inflammatory response seen in Gram-negative bacterial sepsis, trauma, ischemic heart disease, post-dialysis syndrome and various autoimmune diseases. Hereditary C3 deficiency makes people vulnerable to frequent attacks from bacterial infections. In ulcerative colitis and idiopathic chronic inflammatory bowel disease, the deposition of C3 in the diseased mucosa has been reported.
