Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Granulysin antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name GNLY
Full Name granulysin
Background The product of this gene is a member of the saposin-like protein (SAPLIP) family and is located in the cytotoxic granules of T cells, which are released upon antigen stimulation. This protein is present in cytotoxic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, and it has antimicrobial activity against M. tuberculosis and other organisms. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
Alternative Names GNLY; granulysin; 519; LAG2; NKG5; LAG-2; D2S69E; TLA519; lymphokine LAG-2; lymphocyte-activation gene 2; T-cell activation protein 519; T-lymphocyte activation gene 519
Gene ID 10578
UniProt ID Q9UK05
Cellular Localization Extracellular region or secreted
Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with GNLY include Erythema Multiforme and Kyphoscoliotic Heart Disease.
Related Pathways Its related pathways are Allograft rejection and Innate Immune System.
Function Antibacterial protein that kills pathogens in cells. It is effective against many microorganisms, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi and parasites. Kill Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Post-translational modifications A 9 kDa form is produced by proteolytic processing of a 15 kDa protein.
