Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Fibroblast Growth Factor 1 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
FGF1
Full Name
fibroblast growth factor 1 (acidic)
Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This protein functions as a modifier of endothelial cell migration and proliferation, as well as an angiogenic factor. It acts as a mitogen for a variety of mesoderm- and neuroectoderm-derived cells in vitro, thus is thought to be involved in organogenesis. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been described.

Cellular Localization
Extracellular region or secreted, Nucleus, Cytosol
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with FGF1 include Common Peroneal Nerve Lesion and Overnutrition.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are RET signaling and Signaling by FGFR2 in disease.
Function
It plays an important role in the regulation of cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Acts as a mitogen in vitro. As a ligand for FGFR1 and integrin. Binding to FGFR1 in the presence of heparin leads to dimerization of FGFR1 and activation by sequential autophosphorylation on tyrosine residues, which act as docking sites for interacting proteins, leading to the activation of multiple signal cascades . Combine integrin ITGAV: ITGB3. It binds to integrin, then forms a ternary complex with integrin and FGFR1, and recruits PTPN11 into the complex, which are essential for FGF1 signal transduction. It induces phosphorylation and activation of FGFR1, FRS2, MAPK3/ERK1, MAPK1/ERK2 and AKT1. Can induce angiogenesis.
Post-translational modifications
In the nucleus, phosphorylated by PKC/PRKCD.
