Cooperation Seeking Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Fc-gamma-RIIA antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.

Official Name FCGR2A

Full Name Fc fragment of IgG, low affinity IIa, receptor (CD32)

Background This gene encodes one member of a family of immunoglobulin Fc receptor genes found on the surface of many immune response cells. The protein encoded by this gene is a cell surface receptor found on phagocytic cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, and is involved in the process of phagocytosis and clearing of immune complexes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Alternative Names FCGR2A; Fc fragment of IgG, low affinity IIa, receptor (CD32); CD32; FCG2; FcGR; CD32A; CDw32; FCGR2; IGFR2; FCGR2A1; low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor II-a; fcRII-a; fc-gamma-RIIa; fc-gamma RII-a; igG Fc receptor II-a; Immunoglobulin G Fc receptor II

Gene ID 2212

Cellular Localization Plasma membrane

Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with FCGR2A include Cystic Fibrosis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

Related Pathways Its related pathways are Tuberculosis and Pathogenic Escherichia coli infection.

Function Binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulins. Low affinity receptor. By binding to IgG, it initiates the cell's response to pathogens and soluble antigens. Promote the phagocytosis of opsonized antigens.

Field of research Developmental Biology antibody; Immune System antibody

Post-translational modifications Phosphorylated by SRC-type Tyr-kinases such as LYN, BLK, FYN, HCK and SYK.
