Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Fc gamma receptor IIIb antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
FCGR3B
Full Name
Fc fragment of IgG, low affinity IIIb, receptor (CD16b)
Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a low affinity receptor for the Fc region of gamma immunoglobulins (IgG). The encoded protein acts as a monomer and can bind either monomeric or aggregated IgG. This gene may function to capture immune complexes in the peripheral circulation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. A highly-similar gene encoding a related protein is also found on chromosome 1.
Alternative Names
FCGR3B; Fc fragment of IgG, low affinity IIIb, receptor (CD16b); CD16; FCG3; CD16b; FCGR3; FCR-10; FCRIII; FCRIIIb; low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III-B; fc-gamma RIIIb; fc-gamma RIII-beta; igG Fc receptor III-1; Fc-gamma receptor IIIb (CD 16)
Gene ID
Cellular Localization
Plasma membrane, Extracellular region or secreted
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with FCGR3B include Neonatal Alloimmune Neutropenia and Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Tuberculosis and Immune response Role of DAP13 receptors in NK cells.
Function
The receptor is the Fc region of immunoglobulin-γ. Low affinity receptor. Combine complex or aggregated IgG and monomeric IgG. Contrary to III-A, it cannot mediate antibody-dependent cytotoxicity and phagocytosis. It can act as a trap for immune complexes without activating neutrophils in the surrounding circulation.
Field of research
Developmental Biology antibody; Immune System antibody; General Lymphocyte Marker Study antibody; Natural killer cells antibody
Post-translational modifications
Glycosylated. Contains high mannose- and complex-type oligosaccharides. Glycosylation at Asn-180 is mandatory for high affinity binding to the Fc and for discrimination between fucosylated and afucosylated IgG glycoforms. The soluble form is produced by a proteolytic cleavage.
