Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced CD32b antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name FCGR2B
Full Name Fc fragment of IgG receptor IIb
Background Fc fragment of IgG receptor IIb (coded by FCGR2B gene) is a low affinity inhibitory receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin gamma (IgG). FCGR2B participates in the phagocytosis of immune complexes and in the regulation of antibody production by B lymphocytes.
Alternative Names FCGR2B, CD32, CD32B, FCG2, FCGR2, IGFR2, Fc fragment of IgG receptor IIb, FcRII-c, FCGR2C
Gene ID Human: 2213; Mouse: 14130
UniProt ID Human: P31994; Mouse: P08101
Cellular Localization Plasma Membrane
Genecards FCGR2B
Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with FCGR2B include Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Malaria. Among its related pathways are B cell receptor signaling pathway (KEGG) and Tuberculosis.
Function Receptor for complex or aggregated immunoglobulin gamma Fc region. Low affinity receptor. Participate in a variety of effectors and regulatory functions, such as the phagocytosis of immune complexes and the regulation of antibody production by B cells. Binding to this receptor leads to down-regulation of the previous cell activation state triggered by antigen receptors on B cells (BCR), T cells (TCR) or other Fc receptors. Isoform IIB1 cannot mediate endocytosis or phagocytosis. Subtype IIB2 does not trigger phagocytosis.
Biologic Classification
Protein Based Therapies
Monoclonal antibody (mAb)
Antibody Isotype IgG
Antibody Clone NOV2108
Description This clone was generated using a stable CHO cell line with the FUT8 knockout gene. It was 100% non-fucosylated. In an in vitro cell-based ADCC assay, the afucosylated antibody clone showed significantly higher ADCC activity compared to its wild type version. The binding affinity of the non-fucosylated Fc variant antibody to Fc receptor is much higher than than the same antibody with fucosylated Fc. Robust and stable production of qualitative fully non-fucosylated therapeutic antibodies is achieved.
