Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced CD22 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name CD22
Full Name CD22 molecule
Alternative Names CD22; CD22 molecule; SIGLEC2; SIGLEC-2; B-cell receptor CD22; BL-CAM; CD22 antigen; T-cell surface antigen Leu-14; B-lymphocyte cell adhesion molecule; sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin 2; sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 2
Gene ID 933
Cellular Localization Plasma membrane
Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with CD22 include Refractory Hematologic Cancer and Hairy Cell Leukemia.
Related Pathways Its related pathways are B cell receptor signaling pathway (KEGG) and Antigen activates B Cell Receptor (BCR) leading to generation of second messengers.
Function Mediates the interaction between b cells and b cells. It may be involved in the localization of b cells in lymphoid tissues. Binds sialylated glycoproteins; one of them is CD45. It preferentially binds to -2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site can be masked by the cis interaction with sialic acid on the same cell surface. Tyrosine phosphorylation appears to be involved in the regulation of b-cell antigen receptor signaling in the ligand-induced immune response. It plays a positive regulatory role through the interaction with Src family tyrosine kinases, and may also act as an inhibitory receptor by recruiting the SH2 domain of cytoplasmic phosphatase and blocking signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signal molecules.
Field of research Cancer antibody; Developmental Biology antibody; Immune System antibody; Immature B Cell Marker antibody
Post-translational modifications Phosphorylation of Tyr-762, Tyr-807 and Tyr-822 are involved in binding to SYK, GRB2 and SYK, respectively. Phosphorylation of Tyr-842 is involved in binding to SYK, PLCG2 and PIK3R1/PIK3R2. Phosphorylated on tyrosine residues by LYN.
Biologic Classification
Protein Based Therapies
Monoclonal antibody (mAb)
Antibody Isotype IgG
Antibody Clone NCI m971
Description The m971 and m972 antibody can selectively bind to diseased cells and induce cell death while leaving healthy, essential cells unharmed. This can result in an effective therapeutic strategy with fewer side effects due to less non-specific killing of cells.
