Cooperation Seeking
Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Cadherin-11 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name CDH11
Full Name cadherin 11, type 2, OB-cadherin (osteoblast)
Background This gene encodes a type II classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily, integral membrane proteins that mediate calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion. Mature cadherin proteins are composed of a large N-terminal extracellular domain, a single membrane-spanning domain, and a small, highly conserved C-terminal cytoplasmic domain. Type II (atypical) cadherins are defined based on their lack of a HAV cell adhesion recognition sequence specific to type I cadherins. Expression of this particular cadherin in osteoblastic cell lines, and its upregulation during differentiation, suggests a specific function in bone development and maintenance.
Alternative Names CDH11; cadherin 11, type 2, OB-cadherin (osteoblast); OB; CAD11; CDHOB; OSF-4; cadherin 11; cadherin-1; SDP051, HIMI
Gene ID 1009
UniProt ID P55287
Cellular Localization Plasma membrane
Involvement in Disease Diseases associated with CDH11 include Elsahy-Waters Syndrome and Aneurysmal Bone Cysts.
Related Pathways Its related pathways are ERK Signaling and Cell junction organization.
Function Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.
Post-translational modifications 1.Glycosylation at Asn455 and Asn540 2.Modification sites at PhosphoSitePlus
Biologic Classification
Protein Based Therapies
Monoclonal antibody (mAb)
Antibody Isotype IgG
Antibody Clone BioBet-694ZP
Description This is a humanized monoclonal antibody to Cadherin-11, which acts as an "adhesive" between cells. Changes in Cad-11 interactions can induce cells to produce proteins that influence the cellular environment. Results from the Phase 1 trial show that SDP051 is safe and well-tolerated at doses up to 10 mg/kg per day with no evidence of significant side effects.
