Background
The most highly over-expressed genes ("BFA4") was found to be identical to a GATA family transcriptional regulator shown to associate with a rare autosomal dominant genetic disorder called trichorhinophalangeal syndrome type 1 (TRPS-I). BF A4 was found to be expressed in greater than 90% of breast cancers at the protein level.
