Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Somatostatin receptor antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
SSTR
Full Name
Somatostatin receptor
Background
There are five known somatostatin receptors:SST1 (SSTR1), SST2 (SSTR2), SST3 (SSTR3), SST4 (SSTR4), SST5 (SSTR5). All are G protein-coupled seven transmembrane receptors.
Alternative Names
Somatostatin receptor; SSTR; SSTR1; SSTR2; SSTR3; SSTR4; SSTR5

Cellular Localization
Plasma membrane
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with SSTR2 include Type C Thymoma and Neuroendocrine Tumor.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Signaling by GPCR and GPCRs, Other.
Function
Somatostatin 14 and -28 receptors. This receptor is coupled through the inhibitory effect of pertussis toxin-sensitive G protein on adenosine cyclase. In addition, it stimulates phosphotyrosine phosphatase and PLC through pertussis toxin-insensitive and sensitive G protein. By inhibiting voltage-dependent calcium channels to inhibit calcium entry. As a functionally dominant somatostatin receptor, it mediates the inhibitory effect of somatostatin-14 on hormone secretion in pancreatic-and-cells. It inhibits cell growth by enhancing phosphorylation of MAPK1 and MAPK2 and subsequent upregulation of CDKN1B. Stimulate neuron migration and axon growth, which may be involved in neuron development and maturation during brain development. PTPN6 mediates the negative regulation of insulin receptor signaling. Heterodimerization inactivates the SSTR3 receptor function.
