Cooperation Seeking

Creative Biolabs is interested in collaborating with potential partners (include but not limit to major pharma or biotech firms) to further co-develop ADCC-enhanced Myotubularin 1 antibody. For commercial partners interested in our ADCC-enhanced therapeutic antibodies, Creative Biolabs welcomes collaboration. Here are two ways for your choice, and please contact us for more details.
1) Collaborate with us and co-develop the programs from discovery phase to IND enabling. Costs will be shared.
2) Become a licensed candidate of our programs.
Looking forward to cooperating with you in the near future.
Official Name
MTM1
Full Name
myotubularin 1
Background
This gene encodes a dual-specificity phosphatase that acts on both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine. It is required for muscle cell differentiation and mutations in this gene have been identified as being responsible for X-linked myotubular myopathy. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Alternative Names
MTM1; myotubularin 1; CNM; MTMX; XLMTM; myotubularin; phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate phosphatase; phosphatidylinositol-3,5-bisphosphate 3-phosphatase;
Gene ID
Cellular Localization
Plasma membrane, Endosome
Involvement in Disease
Diseases associated with MTM1 include Myopathy, Centronuclear, X-Linked and Myopathy.
Related Pathways
Its related pathways are Inositol phosphate metabolism (KEGG) and PI Metabolism.
Function
Phosphatidylinositol 3-monophosphate (PI3P) and phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate (PI(3,5)P2) are lipid phosphatases. It has also been shown to dephosphorylate peptides containing phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine. Negatively regulate EGFR degradation by regulating the transfer of EGFR from late endosomes to lysosomes. Play a role in the formation and morphology of vacuoles. Standardize desmin intermediate filament assembly and structure. Play a role in mitochondrial morphology and positioning. This is necessary to maintain skeletal muscle, but not necessary for muscle formation. Stabilize MTMR12 protein level.
