Human C1 Protein, Natural - 200 µg (CAT#: CB-P284-AB) Datasheet

Product Type
Protein
Description
Human complement protein C1 is the first component of the classical complement pathway. When C1q binds to antigen-bound IgM or IgG or C1q directly binds to the surface of the pathogen, the activation of the C1 complex (composed of C1q, C1r and C1s to form C1qr2s2) occurs. The activation of C1r and C1s occurs, thus starting the classical pathway of complement activation. The C1 activation product first cleaves C4 and then cleaves C2 to generate the C4b2a complex, which promotes the cleavage of C3 into C3a and C3b.
