The glycerol assay kit (cell-based) provides a convenient tool for studying the triglyceride/fatty acid cycle and its regulation in fat cells or liver cells. The kit will enable researchers to screen for compounds related to lipid storage and metabolism. The kit contains chloroquine as a positive control for screening compounds that induce lipid droplet accumulation and release glycerol from liver cells.
