Description
The cell fractionation system is designed to reproducibly extract four subcellular protein fractions (cytosol, nucleus, membrane/particle and cytoskeleton fraction) from a single mammalian sample. The method is quick and simple, and only takes 2 hours without ultracentrifugation. All four protein fractions obtained are suitable for many downstream applications, such as 1-D or 2-D gels, enzyme activity determination, gel shift determination and Western blotting.
